The My Challenge App is designed to be used by schools in Nottingham who are participating in the Sheriff’s Challenge 2016 - 2017The Sheriff’s Challenge comes from Nottingham City Council’s 'Opportunity Notts' initiative.
It is for primary pupils aged 5-11 across Nottingham city to run collectively 25,000 miles between October 2016 and October 2017.
To use the my challenge app schools set out a manageable course in metres making a lap around the school playground or field.
School teams will aim to run laps at least twice a week.
When the my challenge app is used to record laps, the results will automatically convert the measured metre distance to miles and will calculate an average distance covered by team members.

The Leader Board will display the top 5 teams.
It is calculated on average miles per team member so big and small schools can compete equally giving everybody a chance to be no.
1 on the board.
Detailed progress of all participating teams can be viewed by going to individual team pages so schools can keep a record of their achievements.

All together we are going to try and run a record beating 25,000 miles - that’s like going round the world!
